Emma was born August 25, 1933 in Walnut, Kansas to Mayme and Paul Coghill (Deceased) as an only child. She was raised in Augusta, Kansas and attended Augusta High School. She went to Wichita State University later in life, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Political Science degree.
She loved to cook and we still share her recipes today. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed taking road trips to explore the country sides and little small towns. She loved to snow ski and was an active member in the Wichita Ski Club. That's where she met her future husband Herbert Schnoetzinger (Survivor) of Wichita, Kansas. They were married on October 10, 1981.
Son Dr. Charles Beard and wife Beverly Beard and grandson Gregory Beard all of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Grandson Sergeant Michael Beard of Fort Polk, Louisiana. Granddaughter Michelle Beard Majors and husband Andrew Majors of New Castle, Washington.
Daughter Cheryl Beard Dixon and husband Jack Dixon. Granddaughter Christy Powell and husband Ryan Powell. Great granddaughter Tatum Downing. Step great granddaughter Gia Powell. Step grandchildren Kaitlin, Andrew and William Dixon, all of Wichita, Kansas.
Granddaughter Dr. Traci Gentry DVM and husband Thomas Gentry. Great grandson Scott Thomas Gentry all of Overland Park, Kansas.
She loved her family and was always there for all of us. She will be truly missed.
