Enrique Lizarralde

Lizarralde, Enrique Alfredo, 86, passed away Sept 20, 2017. Rosary 7:30 pm Mon, Sept 25. Mass, 11:00 am Tues, Sept 26, both at the Church of the Magdalen with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Preceded in death by his parents Alfonso and Laura Maria Lizarralde, wife Ligia Londoño Lizarralde, daughters Martha Ligia Wilson and Olga Beatriz Lizarralde, and grandson Louis Edward Wilson III. He met his future bride at a dance when he was 18 and she 12. They had a five year long distance courtship and were married on Oct 1, 1955. They shared a loving, happy marriage of 58 ½ years and had nine children. Upon moving his family from Colombia to New York, he worked for six years at Eyeglass Inc. before moving to Wichita, KS to work at Duffens Optical. He retired after 21 years but his desire to be productive took him back to the workforce and he worked until the age of 84, retiring from Arby’s after 15 years of service. He loved meeting and talking to people from all over the world and traveling. He was an avid stamp and coin collector and especially loved his music collection which gave him countless hours of entertainment. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s & great grandchildren’s sporting events. Survived by sons: Jorge (Gina) and David (Misty) Lizarralde, Daughters; Clara (Doug) Frye, Nohora (Paul) Huff, Laura (Mark) Manning, Diana (Darren) Ensign, Angela Ruda. Grandchildren: Ronald (Shelly) Wilson, LigiaAnn (Daniel) Ballard, Sandra (David) Umana, Jamie (Casey Nickell) Frye, Whitney (Chandler) Rogers, Andres, Victoria, Alejandro Lizarralde, Jed (Jackie) Huff, Daniel (Courtney) Huff, Michael Huff, Kelsey, Jennifer, and Parker Manning, Patrick and Ashley Ensign, Ethan Godby, Julya Lizarralde, Austin and Brock Ruda. Great Grandchildren; Jonathan Wilson, Caleb Coln, Nicole Jones, Madison and Ethan Umana, Jason and Aubrey Rogers, Lawson Nickell and Lucas Huff.
