Bill passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the age of 88 in Wichita, Kansas. He was born to Eugene William Fagyal Sr. and Juanita Marie (Carey) Fagyal on April 17, 1938, in St. Louis, Missouri. He had two siblings, Patsy Benoit and Johnny Fagyal.
Bill graduated from East High School and went on to graduate from Wichita State in 1973 with a bachelor’s degree in education with several classes of math and computer studies. He taught at Wilbur Junior High school and East High school in Wichita. Bill also served in the United States Army. He eventually became a systems analyst at Boeing.
Bill met the love of his life, Ethel Mae Conley, at a church party and they later married and raised three children, Julie Marie, Michelle Mae and Cathy Sue.
Bill loved computers and any work that involved them. He was a Southern Baptist for most of his life. At eight years old he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and always followed him in each part of his life, especially when raising his children. He was a deacon for several years at both Southwest Baptist and Metropolitan Baptist Church. He was a man of prayer and emphasized the power of prayer in matters at hand. Bill enjoyed playing golf, pool, chess, cards and dominoes.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Juanita Fagyal; siblings, Patsy Benoit and Johnny Fagyal and daughter, Cathy Sue Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Fagyal; children, Julie Felts, Michelle Snyder; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 5 pm – 7 pm with funeral services on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 1 pm, both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W Hwy 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
