Eugene James Scheikofsky

Gene was born on April 8, 1935 in Hillsboro, Kansas, to Ernest and Katherine Deines Scheikofsky.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest James and Katherine Elizabeth Deines Scheikofsky; his son, Faron Scheikofsky; his late wives, Betty Scheikofsky and Imogene Brumley Scheikofsky; his siblings: Irvin Scheikofsky, Lavern Scheikofsky, Fay May Scheikofsky, Allen Scheikofsky and Helen Ann Scheikofsky Bennett; and his grandchildren: Megan Lynn Scheikofsky, Shawn William Burnett and Dalton Sereno.

He is lovingly remembered by his children Roberta Sereno, Teresa (Allen) Shelinbarger, Lisa (Eric) Ellis and Susan Stewart; his cousin, Gloria Scheikofsky (Bo) Birmingham; his grandchildren, Brian (Julia) Scheikofsky, Mandy (Travis) Commerford, Joshua Cotton, Angus Lough, Cory (Shawna) Shelinbarger, Corbyn Burtnett, Ethan (Casey) Roser, Sammantha (Michael) Uhl, Kaci (Brad) Schmitz, Morgan (Shaun) Bathgate, Mason (Kylee) Smith and Caleb (Kylee) Ellis.

Gene was blessed with many great-grandchildren: Brylee, Logan, Griffin, Camryn, Kaitlynn, Lily, Kanden, Keagan, Paisley, Remy, Ripley, Ezekiel, Lillith, Zuriel, Azazel, Wesson, Kimber, Okley, Myles, Maddox, Landry, Jordy and Hudson.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23rd, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209, US, on July 23, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, followed immediately by the funeral service at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 6231 W 47th St S, Wichita, KS 67215.
