Evelyne (Shamblin) Fleming was born on Tuesday, July 1st, 1947, in Webbers Falls, OK, to Rena (Lype) Shamblin and Joel Shamblin.
Evelyne grew up in Webbers Falls, OK, and attended Webbers Falls schools, graduating in 1965. Evelyne moved to Wichita, Ks after graduation, and married Leland K. Fleming Jr. October 1st, 1966. Evelyne & Leland raised their family in Wichita, Ks.
Evelyne worked various jobs throughout her life, but the one she cherished the most was being a daycare provider and homemaker. Evelyne loved all the daycare babies as her own.
Evelyne was preceded in death by the love of her life, Leland, in 2010 and her son Robert, in 2023. 6 sisters & 4 brothers
Evelyne is survived by her sons Russell (Marie), Danny (Eileen), Eric (Jennifer), and Andrew, all of Kansas. Sister Pauline Rainey and brothers Ray (Debbie) Shamblin, Charlie Shamblin, and Wayne Shamblin, all of Oklahoma. Numerous grandbabies, great grandbabies, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Evelyne is loved by everyone, and we will truly miss her words of kindness, wisdom, devotion, her kind and thoughtful actions, and her caring nature.
A visitation for Evelyne will be held Friday, November 7, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
A funeral service will occur Friday, November 7, 2025 at 1:00 PM, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209, with a graveside service to follow.
