Fernando H. Meza

Fernando was born June 23, 1963 in Yurecuaro Michoacan, Mexico, the son of Francisco Meza Hernandez and Maria De Jesus Hernandez Torres.

He was a life-long faithful member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton.

Fernando was an avid mechanic always working on different cars and vehicles. He enjoyed to cook different foods, fish, and loved to make jokes with family and friends. His biggest joy was time spent with his children, grandchildren, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Edwardo Fernando Meza Alvarado, sisters Irma (Meza) Mosqueda, Esperanza Meza Hernandez, and brother Javier Meza Hernandez.

He is survived by his daughters Rosa Evelyn Alvarado Meza of Wichita, KS, Maira Alejandra Meza of Newton, KS, Aurora Maria Sue Meza of Augusta, KS, son, Mario Meza of Newton, KS, along with four brothers and six sisters.

Visitation and Viewing for Fernando with family present will be on Monday (October 17, 2022) from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Wichita, 4408 W. Central Ave., Wichita, Kansas 67212.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be 10:00 A.M. on Friday (October 21, 2022), with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 A.M. both at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 421 S. Ash St., Newton, Kansas 67114 with the Reverend Jorge Lopez presiding. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Fernando's name can be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 3450 N. Rock Road #204, Wichita, Kansas 67226.
