Jody was born October 17, 1957, in Kinsley, Kansas. She passed at the age of 68 on March 9th, 2026, after a lengthy illness.
Jody graduated form South High in 1976. Soon after she became a mother and stayed very active in her children’s activities. She even became a Scout leader in both club and boy scouts. One of her greatest joys was supporting her nieces and nephews. She was also an avid Bingo player. She took great pride in her career as a printer, retiring from Rand Graphics on July 3rd, 2023.
Jody was preceded in death by her first born son, Daniel JC Crosswhite and her parents, Jack and Shirley Koon.
She is survived by two sons, Donald R. Crosswhite II (Blanca) and Jeremy D. Crosswhite (Janna); two sisters, Jacquie Bower and Jill Aitken (Alvin); one brother, Jeff Koon (Cindy); three grandsons, Naushua, Jackson, Donn Carlo; four granddaughters, Aunique, Amina, Clariza, Estefhany; one great granddaughter, Marli; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on April 18, 2026, at 10:30 am at the Faith Community Church, 1750 N. Gow St., Wichita, Kansas 67203.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jody’s name and loving memory with KIDSKS Foundation.
