Dear family of Frances Handy,
When my son was working at St. Francis Hospital, he was telling me about this "lady" that knew me from Stillwater, Ok. He could not remember her name, but when I read the obituary, I absolutely knew and remembered her. I went to school in Stillwater between the years 1953-Dec. 1955. My mother had passed away so I had to move back to Winfield, Ks. Of course I lost all track of the kids I went to school with in Stillwater, but I still remember a lot of them. I just wish my son could have remembered her name, I would have gotten in touch. She told him that I was in one of her yearbooks. I do remember that she was a very nice person and everyone liked her. So sorry for your loss.

Frances was a SHS class mate of 1958. So sorry of your lost.

Frances was one of my SHS classmates. Her personality was warm and friendly.  My sympathy to her family. Charlotte, I am glad you brought your mother to our last reunion. She looked so good and I never could  have imagined  that would be the last time we'd see her. Her passing is going to create a void in your life, but I trust her faith will bring you much comfort and I am positive that nothing can separate, not time or space,  you from her love...it will forever bless you.  Take comfort from the messages people have posted here....obviously, she made a positive difference to so many!

Frances was one of my Mom's best friends.  She was "the life of the party" as my Mom would say. Her absence will leave a hole where her laughter lived.

To Charlotte,
I met your mother while we were both patients at the Life Care Center in Andover. She is a very gracious lady and set a fine example of dealing with illness on a positive note. I really enjoyed her company and I have thought about her many times since I left the hospital. God Bless You and your family, and my prayers are with you at this time.

All our love and prayers are with the family in this loss of our loving Fran.  We'll miss her and her infectious laugh!

Frances was delightful and fun.  I loved the story she told of giving herself the name "Frances" when she was called on to give her middle name on her first day of school.

I enjoyed working with Francis at St Francis, she was always smiling and fun to be around. She had a kind heart and gentle spirit. I still smile when I picture her in her mermaid costume on her birthday. She will be missed.

So sorry you're going through this. I'm so sad for you.  Aunt Aleen (as her Oklahoma family knew her) was always smiling, a little onery,and made mundane things fun.  I have so many memories from when I was a child to when she let me drive on our way to Kansas in her Gremlin when I didn't have a license, to her & Uncle Jimmy taking me to the lake when I stayed with them one time.  I remember coming to Thanksgivings at your house and her letting us babysit Chanel when you went on vacation.  Please rely on all your great memories to ease the hurt you're feeling now. I will miss Frances as long as I live.  Although she was a sister in law, I thought of her more like a sister.  She was fun to be with.  Such a sense of humor she possessed, and it served her well.

Frances will never be forgotten!  The first time I met her she came to my place (in her building)  and we blew bubbles off of the balcony!  That tells you the spirit of this lovely lady!  She helped everyone as much as possible and made sure everyone had a smile on their face!  She was so much fun and will be greatly missed! Frances was a very neat lady.  I had the pleasure of working with her at Via Christi.  She was always happy and friendly to all.  Heaven gained a very special angel!
