

Simpkins, Frankie L., 89, of Wichita, Kansas was called home on Saturday January 28, 2017 in Andover, Kansas. Frankie was born the daughter of Richard Rowe and Moseanna (Harris) Rowe on December 28, 1927 in Whitfield, Alabama. Frankie and Mack Simpkins were united in marriage in 1946 in Brighton, Alabama. Frankie loved her grandkids, great-grandkids and great-great grandkids!!! She enjoyed cooking, fishing, college sports, gardening, and spending time with neighbors. Frankie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her, Frankie always had a warm welcome for everyone she met. She was a longtime member of the Progressive Missionary Baptist Church in Wichita. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Mack Simpkins, her sisters, Mary Cole, Olivia Garris and Anna Lewis. Survivors include her loving children, Richard (Lynette) Simpkins of Wichita, Alfreda Simpkins Arnold of Wichita, 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandkids and 5 great-great grandkids and a host of extended family. Visitation will be from 6 to 8pm on Friday February 3, 2017 at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Celebration of Life will be 2pm on Saturday February 4, 2017 at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 2727 E. 25th St. N., Wichita, KS 67219. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita. Memorials have been established in her name and loving memory to the American Cancer Society, 330 S. Main St. #100, Wichita, KS 67202.
