Fred Safstrom, age 81, retired United States Air Force and retired Carpenter for USD 259, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021. Fred was born November 9, 1939, in Gardner, Massachusetts, the son of the late Paul Emanuel and Agnes (Mattson) Safstrom.
Fred was an avid lover of Patriots football!!
Fred is survived by sons, Gary Safstrom (Dana Stanfill), and Brian Safstrom; daughter, Patti Safstrom (Don Winegarner); brothers, Gerald Safstrom, Norman "Butch" Safstrom; sisters, Carolyn Jaillet, Cheryl Safstrom, Martha Mahony; grandchildren, Stephen Safstrom, Jami Safstrom, Reba Safstrom, and Scott Safstrom; and 4 great grandchildren.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; son, William Safstrom; and his parents.
The family will be having a private celebration of life at Lakeview Funeral Home.
