G. Wayne Hoggard

G. Wayne Hoggard, age 87, of Haysville, Kansas passed away on Friday February 7, 2020. G. was born September 13, 1932 in Calamine, Arkansas. He was a man of many stories, who lived for his faith, family, and friends. G. Wayne served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He spent many years in the aircraft industry in Wichita, working for Boeing and Beechcraft. He had a second career in the grocery business, working for Mr. D's, and briefly owning a store in Valley Center. After retiring, he spent some time R.V.'ing with Priscilla and traveling to Southern Gospel concerts with Darlene.

G. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Palmer and Norma Hoggard; wife of 48 years, Priscilla Hoggard; wife of 15 years, Darlene Hoggard; brothers, Ray Hoggard and Brady Hoggard; and sister, Euna Faye Parsons.

G. Wayne is survived by his wife of 4 years, Angie Hoggard; children, Gary (Vickie) Hoggard, Terry (Ruthanne) Hoggard, Kathy (Dan) Mucci, and Sharon (Duane) Swanson; brother, Dale Hoggard; sister, Dora Mae Redding; grandchildren, Shannan (Pete) Traylor, Shonda Russell, Kari Hoggard, Kristi (Andrew) Lundgren, Brian Mucci, Ben (Kristen) Mucci, Aaron (Amanda) Swanson, Amy (Chris) Roberts, and Adam (Tabby) Swanson; and 16 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 3-7 pm on Monday, February 10, 2020 at Resthaven Mortuary. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Colonial Heights Assembly of God, 5200 S Broadway St, Wichita, KS 67216.

Military honors will be rendered at the burial service, following the funeral service.
