Gary attended Wichita North High School, where he graduated with the class of 1969. After high-school, he served in the United States Army as a specialist in the security agency department. Gary was awarded the National Defence Service medal; along with the armed forces expeditionary medal.
Gary was united in marriage to the love of his life, Sheila Mikesell, on April 19, 1975.
Gary was an avid golfer, loved watching sports; but most of all, spending time with his loving family. His humor will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents; and his beloved wife, Sheila.
He is survived by: his children, Cara (Andy) Scogins and Taylor (Angela) Esposito; his granddaughters, Chase Bartkoski, Gracie Bartkoski, Ava Bartkoski, Nora Esposito; his brothers, Phillip (Tamara) Esposito, David (Cathy) Esposito, and Daniel (Rebecca) Esposito; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Monday, June 10, 2024; Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of Christus, Wichita.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Folds of Honor, 5971 North Patriot Drive, Owasso, Oklahoma 74055.
