George Lee Dasis

George Lee Dasis, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, March 17, 2023 surrounded by his loving family in Wichita, Kansas. George was born October 31, 1943 in Trinidad, Colorado, a son of Arthur and Angela (Romero) Dasis. He served his country in the U.S. Navy for seven years during the Vietnam War. George met his future wife on the phone and love sparked at the first conversation, and then he was united in marriage to his loving wife, Judy Karl Maples in Wichita, Kansas, and to this union four children were born Christopher, Georgia, Marcee, and Lannie. George was an avid outdoorsman as he enjoyed going fishing, breeding poodles, but most importantly the greatest joy of his life was to spend time with his family whom he loved greatly. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his two brothers Charles Dasis and Frank Dasis as well as two sisters, Helen and Anita. He is survived by his children Christopher (Dawn) Dasis, Georgia (Scott) Bryant, Marcee (Tim) Ditto, Lannie (Christie) Dasis; sisters Irene and Catherine; brother Christopher Dasis; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Graveside Inurnment Service will be held 10:00 A.M. on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 W. US-54 Highway, Wichita, Kansas. There will be no visitation or viewing as cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be established in George's name to the George Lee Dasis Memorial Fund, and contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted with Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Wichita.
