Gerald "Jerry" L. Selchert 86, passed away October 4, 2017. He was a Braniff airlines operations agent for 26 years. Jerry was a Korean War veteran who loved America with unwavering patriotism. He was a hardworking man who grew up in the Lutheran faith. Jerry was preceded by wife, Sonja Selchert; parents, William and Louise Selchert; seven brothers and one sister. He is survived by sons, Brian (Shirley) and Brent (Karen) Selchert; daughter, Brenda (Kevin) Parker; sister-in-law, Doris Selchert; seven grandchildren, Josh (Kristin) Baxter, Traci (Marcos) Nuno, Sheri (Avery) McChesney, Remington Selchert, Kyle (Jessica) Selchert, Travis (Ashlea) Parker, Kendell (Karin) Selchert and 14 great grandchildren, Candace Baxter, Naomi Baxter, Caleb Honea, Lauren McChesney, Lucas McChesney, Lance McChesney, Jaxson, Nuno, Colton Nuno, Lily Parker, Ella Parker, Kinsely Selchert, Baby Selchert, Keegan Selchert and Kamden Selchert; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, October 9, 2017 with visitation one hour prior at Resthaven Mortuary.
