Geraldine "Geri" Ann Ulmer

Geraldine “Geri” Ann Ulmer, 81, retired cosmetologist of Wichita, Kansas, entered eternal rest on April 18, 2026. Geri entered this life on July 13, 1944, in Maryville, Missouri, being a surprise twin, born right after her brother Gerald.

On the foundation of enduring devotion, Geri married Jack L. Ulmer, and together they celebrated 58 loving years of marriage. Her love for family was constant and deeply held, expressed in the everyday ways that matter most—through thoughtfulness, candor, and a gentleness that offered comfort, even when paired with the firm resolve that those closest to her knew well.

Geri found joy in the pursuits that filled a home with life: tending to gardening, including the Wichita Garden Tour; cooking with a gift that made meals feel like an occasion; and shopping with an easy enthusiasm that reflected her outgoing spirit. She also enjoyed golfing and watching golf, and she treasured time spent with her family—moments that became lasting memories because of the care she brought to them.

Geri was preceded in death by her parents, George and Gertrude (Hiatt) Wilmes; her son, Todd Ulmer; her son-in-law, Jeff Morgan; her brothers, Bernard, Alfred, Richard, Raymond, Joseph, and her twin brother, Gerald Wilmes; and her sisters, Rita Stamps, Helen Joyce, and Delores Spire.

Geri is survived by her beloved husband, Jack; her daughter, Kim Morgan; her brothers, Charles Wilmes, Philip Wilmes, Thomas Wilmes, and Ken Wilmes; her sisters, Louise O'Connell and Polly Bjornsrud; and her granddaughters, Miranda Morgan and Allison Morgan.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 7335 W. 33rd St. N., Wichita, KS 67205 with inurnment to take place at Resurrection Mausoleum, 1640 N. Maize Rd, Wichita, KS 67212.
