Gloria Jean Bressie

Gloria Jean Bressie, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, friend, passed peacefully in the arms our Lord, Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 5, 2025 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on December 12, 1954 in Wichita, Kansas to Bernard Clarence Linnebur and Laverne Philomena (Berndsen) Linnebur, who instilled in her a deep love for family.

Gloria was a proud graduate of Derby High School. She dedicated her career to Beech aircraft, where she was known for her hard work, kindness, and unwavering dedication.

Beyond her professional life, Gloria loved being with her husband, Frank Bressie and vacationing in Silver Dollar City. She found joy in listening to music especially classical and watching old western tv shows and movies. Gloria’s legacy of love, especially for animals will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Gloria’s greatest love was her family. She is survived by her husband, Frank Bressie; her sons, Daniel (Tricia) Bressie and David Bressie; her grandsons, Xavier Bressie and Logan Bressie; her siblings: Mary Shelley, Greg (Elizabeth) Linnebur, Kathy (Tom) Kluzak, Paula (Brent) Raaf, Fred (Annette) Linnebur, Jody (John) Dopps and Laurann (Brian) Latham; and her sisters-in-law, Susan Linnebur and Nola Linnebur who will forever cherish her wisdom, laughter, and unconditional love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Laverne Linnebur; her brothers, Bernie Linnebur and Pete Linnebur and her brother-in-law, Mike Shelley.

A Visitation to honor Gloria’s life will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Hwy 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N Hillside St, Wichita, KS 67219, a cause close to her heart.
