Montes, Guadalupe, 71, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 27, 2016. She had a knack for baking and cooking, she was the epitome of a homemaker. She enjoyed, sewing her kids clothing, floral arranging, and was a beautician for 8 years. Guadalupe was a beloved wife, mother, grandma, great grandmother and ultimately the ruler of the Guadalupe Family. She was preceded by her parents, Juan and Macaria Gonzales Chacon; daughter, Mary Frances Montes; and brother, Johnnie Gonzales. Guadalupe is survived by,husband of 55 years, Francisco Montes; sons, Frank and Michael Shane Montes; daughters, Maria Montes and Rita Laham; brothers, David, Robert, and John Jr. Chacon and Michael Gonzales; sisters, Virginia Chacon, Linda and Mary Gonzales, Carmen Romero, Gloria Baeza and Consuelo Montoya; 10 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. A Rosary will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 at Resthaven Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
