

Snavely, Harold L., Sr., 87, of Elm Spring, Arkansas passed away May 13, 2014 in Valley Center, Kansas. Harold was born in Elm Spring to Audis and Eula Snavely but lived in Wichita, KS most of his life. He was a jeweler and watch repairman and retired from Honeywell where he was an Avionics Technician. He was a longtime member and elder of the Poplar Avenue Church of Christ for many years. He was beloved by all; was a very dignified and honorable man; had a loving, generous heart, and always gave so unselfishly to others. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Audis and Eula, beloved wife Bernice; daughter Marsha Fast of Robstown, TX; and brother-in-laws Jake Shariff, Dean and Paul May. Harold is survived by his brother Ronald and wife Betty Snavely; sister Geraldine Harp, Joyce Gaibraith and husband Quinton all of Springdale, AR; devoted daughter Duretta (Dee) Wretberg and husband Neil of Valley Center; sons Harry Snavely of Wichita, Mark Snavely and wife Kelly of Valley Center; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a special friend Cathy Lawson. Visitation will be held Lakeview Funeral Home on Thurs. May 15, 2014 from 5 to 8pm with family present from 5 to 6pm. Funeral Service will be held at Lakeview Funeral Home on May 16th at 2pm with Minister Larry Thomas of Popular Avenue Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas at 12100 East 13th St. North.
