

Lew, Henry, 90, passed away on September 2, 2014. Henry was born December 23, 1923 in Canton, China. He immigrated to America at the age of 14. Enlisting in the US Army at 17, he proudly fought on the Pacific Front during World War II. He also took pride in being a successful restaurateur for over 50 years, starting as a chef at the Stockyards Hotel and culminating as owner of several restaurants including the popular 11th Frame Dining Room. The ever people person, the numerous friendships he developed during those years remained close to the end. His generous spirit and upbeat smile will be dearly missed by his many friends and immediate family including his nieces and nephews, and in particular, Vicki Crumbliss and Susie Wong who were devoted to him throughout his years. Preceded by his beloved wife, Lily. Henry is survived a sister, Kim Chew, Wichita; sons, Jack (Sharon), Irvine, CA, James, Chicago, Il.; grandchildren, Canyon Lew (Susan), Newport Beach, CA, Alex Lew (Katie), Chicago, Il.; great-grandchildren Henry and Jesse Lew, Newport Beach, Edward Lew, Chicago.
