Herb Shippy 86, retired KG&E Lineman, passed away May 14, 2018. Herb was born August 23, 1931 in Sun City, KS to Frank and Nellie Shippy. Herb served during WWII as a Gunner on P61 Night Fighters for the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by wife, Beverly Shippy; and son Chet Shippy. Herb is survived by daughters, Christine Herndon, Connie (Louis) Stroot and Shelley (Matt) Hunt; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Resthaven Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
