

Floyd, Herman Ray, 81, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Sun. Jan. 21, 2018 in Wichita. Ray was born the son of Talma and Dora (Johnson) Floyd on Nov. 18, 1936 in Deport, TX. Ray started his career as a police officer in Amarillo, TX. Ray was a police officer and detective for the Wichita Police Department for 25 years. After retirement he worked as a liaison officer for the DA’s Office in Wichita for 10 years. Survivors include his loving daughters, Jodonna (Patrick Davis) Floyd of Wichita, Larecia (Robert) Prilliman of Overland Park, KS, grandsons, Zachary (Jennifer) Prilliman of Phoenix, AZ, Tyler Prilliman of St. Louis, MO, Joshua Prilliman of Overland Park, great-grandson, Jaxsen Prilliman of Phoenix, niece, Tracey (Mark) Niemeyer of Phoenix. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Helen Anthony. Visitation will be 6 to 8pm on Thurs. Jan. 25, 2018. Celebration of Life service, led by Dignity Celebrant Cyndi Pearce, will be 2pm on Fri. Jan. 26, 2018 both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita.
