He graduated from St. John High School and then attended St. Mary of the Plains College in Dodge City, Kansas.
David and Kathleen were married December 29, 1973. In 1974 he began his career at Stewart Plumbing and Heating, eventually becoming co-owner. He retired from the industry in 2016.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Howard and Marie Asher.
David is survived by his wife; Kathleen Asher, daughter Heather Goolsby; son, Seth Asher; daughter, MaryDawn Jenkins. sister, Lynn McConnaughy; Grandchildren, DeAndre Goolsby, Haeven Goolsby, Noah Asher, Adin Asher, Rachel Jenkins, Isaiah Jenkins, Ian Jenkins and 2 great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation on October 21, 2023 at 9:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM both occurring at Central Community Church, 6100 W Maple St, Wichita, KS 67209.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to Music and Worship Arts at Central Community Church of Wichita.
