Howard A. Malone, had his last roll call, January 13, 2021, he was born March 11, 1938 in Wichita, KS. Retired SFC US Army, decorated combat veteran of 23 years, two tours of duty in Viet Nam, as well as Korea, Germany and several US posts. Member of Lodge 365 Derby, KS, 32nd Mason and past Commander of the Hospital Van Unit, Median Shrine. He loved spending time with all his family members fooling with cars, wood work and his loving wife who made him and his life much better with her in it. Each of us made sure when leaving or coming back we always told each other we love them and always had a kiss for each other. We made sure we never went to sleep at night mad at one & other and always said I love you and a good night kiss. God gave me an Angel & I was so blessed. Preceded in death by his father, Howard A. Malone SR; mother, Amy Marion Jones Brown; son, Scott Malone; brothers, Milton, Russell & Jack Malone; sisters, Betty, Elnor & Patricia. Is survived by his wife of over 61 years, Alice Faye Hert Malone; sons, Dennis (Patti), Earl (Kathy) Malone; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren (+two in the hangar). Due to COVID, there will be a come and go visitation from 9AM-12PM, Wednesday, January 20th, at Resthaven Mortuary. There will be a private family graveside with a celebration of life to be scheduled at a later date. A memorial service for Howard is being held from 2:00PM to 4:00PM, Sunday, July 18th, at Andover Central Park at the Lodge, 1607 E. Central Avenue, Andover, Kansas 67002. Resthaven Mortuary not involved.
