

Langhofer, Irene J. (Judy) went to her heavenly home surrounded by family and friends at the age of 88 on January 8, 2013. She was born December 5, 1924 to Robert and Dora Young in Greenwood County Kansas. At the age of 25, Judy gave her life to Christ and faithfully followed His will. Judy was a loving faithful wife to C.A. Langhofer for 64 years. Together they served the Apostolic Christian Church and raised seven children. Judy was focused on serving Christ and taught those around her of His truth. She enjoyed hosting in her home, serving with gladness. Judy is survived by one brother Chuck Young of Wichita and one sister Liseten Strahm of Burlington, seven children, Stephen (Jeannie) of Wichita, Dr. Martin (Lavilla) of South Bend, IN, Jocelyn Payton (Richard deceased) of South Bend, IN, Erik (Cynthia) of Phoenix, AZ, Mary Stoller (Bruce) of Princeville, IL, Melinda Giltner (Rocky) of Bluffton, IN, Robert (Misti) of Goddard, twenty-nine grandchildren, sixty-one great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren and a host of friends and loved ones. Visitation will be at the Apostolic Christian Church at 1202 Lulu on Sunday January 13 from 6 to 8 pm. The funeral services will be at the Apostolic Christian Church on Monday January 14 at 10:00 am with graveside service following at Resthaven Cemetery, 11800 W. Kellogg. A memorial has been established in her name with Gateway Woods Children’s Home in Leo, IN.
