Israel Nava

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Israel Nava, who left us far too soon on July 12, 2026, at the age of 19. Born in Aurora, Colorado, on September 25, 2006, Israel's life, though brief, was filled with love, laughter, and a joyful spirit that touched all who knew him.

Israel was the beloved son of Pedro and Maria Nava, whose nurturing guidance shaped him into the remarkable young man he became. He was the youngest sibling of Jonatan Pedro Nava, Diana Raquel Espinoza (Antonio Espinoza) and Belem Nava (Kiefer Quinn). He was a wonderful uncle to, Haniel, Ailed (Geovany Rueda), Christian, Yalissa, Samantha, Leví Espinoza and Genesis Quinn Nava and was overjoyed by the presence of his great-niece, Xiomara Rueda.

He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Leonides Parra Medina, and his paternal uncle, Armando Nava Contreras. He leaves behind his paternal grandparents, Mariano and Romana Nava, and maternal grandmother, Ofelia Torres. He will be fondly remembered by his paternal uncles and aunties, Leopoldo, Leticia, Florinda, Reynaldo, Diana, Veronica, and Zelene, and maternal uncles and aunties, Calixto, Isabel, Manuel, Bertha, José, Guerrero, Celia, Rafaela, Juan, Martín, Raymundo, Graciela, Patricia, and Mary.

A proud graduate of Maize High School in 2024, Israel cultivated an interest in the craft of welding and pursued his goal in the field by earning a welding certification from WSU Tech. While working towards his certification, Israel demonstrated his commitment and work ethic through his roles at Olive Garden and Walk-On's Sports, always striving to achieve his career aspirations. He had embarked on his professional journey as a welder at Anchor Fabrication early May of 2026.

Israel was a member of the Casa de Dios para las Naciones Christian Church in Wichita, Kansas, where he found community and spiritual growth from the age of 11. Though a small childhood head injury curtailed his boxing aspirations, he channeled his energy into going to the gym and found interest in weightlifting, his hobbies reflected his enthusiasm for life. He enjoyed capturing the beauty of nature through photography and videography, leaving behind serene images that revealed his connection with nature.

Those who knew Israel will remember his radiant smile and kind spirit. He was a beacon of joy, like the sun, lighting up every room he entered. His heart was pure and generous, never hesitating to help those in need. Israel's presence was a gift to his family and friends, and his respectful nature and unconditional support made him a brother to many and a friend to all.

In honor of Israel's memory, the family requests that everyone wears white or light-colored tops. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at Resthaven Mortuary for their compassionate care, as well as to all family members, friends, and supporters who have offered donations, time, and prayers during this difficult time.

As we gather to celebrate Israel's life, we hold onto the memories of his kindness, warmth, and the love he shared with us all. Though he has departed from this world, his memory will forever remain in our hearts.

Visitation: Thursday, July 23, 2026, 5:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.

Funeral Service: Friday, July 24, 2026, 2:00 PM, at Reliance Community Church, 11910 West Pawnee Street, Wichita, Kansas 67215. Visitation will be held starting at 1:00 PM at the church. Graveside Service will follow immediately at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.

Con profunda tristeza, anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestro querido Israel Nava, quien nos dejó demasiado pronto el 12 de julio de 2026, a la edad de 19 años. Nacido en Aurora, Colorado, el 25 de septiembre de 2006, la vida de Israel, aunque breve, estuvo llena de amor, risas y un espíritu alegre que conmovió a todos los que lo conocieron.

Israel era el amado hijo de Pedro y María Nava, cuya cariñosa guía lo formó hasta convertirlo en el extraordinario joven que fue. Era el menor de sus hermanos Jonatan Pedro Nava, Diana Raquel Espinoza (Antonio Espinoza) y Belem Nava (Kiefer Quinn). Fue un tío maravilloso para Haniel, Ailed (Geovany Rueda), Christian, Yalissa, Samantha, Leví Espinoza, y Genesis Quinn Nava y se sentía inmensamente feliz con la presencia de su sobrina-nieta, Xiomara Rueda.

Orgulloso graduado de Maize High School en 2024, Israel cultivó un interés por el oficio de la soldadura y persiguió su objetivo en este campo obteniendo una certificación de soldadura de la Universidad Técnica Estatal de Wichita. Mientras se preparaba para su certificación, Israel demostró su compromiso y ética laboral en Olive Garden y Walk-On's Sports, esforzándose siempre por alcanzar sus metas profesionales. Su trayectoria profesional como soldador en Anchor Fabrication había comenzado en mayo del 2026.

Israel era miembro de la Iglesia Cristiana Casa de Dios para las Naciones en Wichita, Kansas, donde encontró comunidad y crecimiento espiritual desde los 11 años. Aunque una leve lesión en la cabeza durante su infancia truncó sus aspiraciones en el boxeo, canalizó su energía en el gimnasio y se interesó por el levantamiento de pesas; sus pasatiempos reflejaban su entusiasmo por la vida. Disfrutaba capturando la belleza de la naturaleza a través de la fotografía y el video, dejando imágenes serenas que revelaban su conexión con ella.

Quienes conocieron a Israel recordarán su sonrisa radiante y su espíritu bondadoso. Era un faro de alegría, como el sol, que iluminaba cada lugar al que llegaba. Su corazón era puro y generoso, siempre dispuesto a ayudar a quienes lo necesitaban. La presencia de Israel era un regalo para su familia y amigos, y su naturaleza respetuosa y su apoyo incondicional lo convirtieron en un hermano para muchos y un amigo para todos.
