Jack married the love of his life, Geri Wilmes, in 1967 and they enjoyed 58 years of marriage. Jack’s pride and joy in life were his children and granddaughters and he had many years with them where he could teach them his kindness and generosity. He also loved his dogs, Mika and Bubba, who were his buddies and constant companions.
Jack worked for 38 years at Boeing, where he started as a design engineer. From 1988-1990 he became the Air Force One Deputy Director, a title of which he was very proud. He retired in 1997, and was able to enjoy 29 years of retirement. He enjoyed many hobbies one of which was his passion for genealogy. He enjoyed tending to his gardens and lawn as well as golfing and woodworking (although it’s suspected he really enjoyed buying tools).
He always thought of others. He was the entertainer and host, and he always made sure you were fed, cared for, and had what you needed when you were with him.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Geri (Wilmes) Ulmer; son, Todd Ulmer; son-in-law, Jeff Morgan; and brother, Jimmie Ulmer.
He is survived by his daughter, Kim Morgan; granddaughters, Miranda Morgan and Allison Morgan; sister, Carol (Ron) Brown; and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
