Born September 17, 1947 in Wellington, Kansas, Jim was the son of Bobby E. Craig and Betty J. Craig. He graduated from South High School and went on to serve his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Corporal (E-4).
Jim dedicated 36 years of his life as a foreman with W.B. Carter Construction, where he was respected for his hard work and leadership. He was known for his honesty and dedication, especially to the military community.
A man of many interests, Jim loved spending time outdoors—hunting, fishing, and enjoying monthly lunches with his high school friends. He had a passion for motorcycles and cars.
Jim is survived by his mother, Betty J. Craig, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss his warm presence and genuine spirit. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby E. Craig.

A visitation for James will be held Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E 13TH ST N, Wichita, KS 67206, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM.
