Irwin, James “Jim” M, 87, retired Haysville water plant and public works director, passed away July 3, 2013. Jim was a WWII and Korean War veteran with the rank of Sgt. He was a member of VFW Post 6957 and loved gardening, woodworking, fishing and camping. He was preceded in death by stepdaughter, Paula Bragg, 1 brother and 2 sisters. His survivors include wife, Thelma; daughters, Linda (Jim) Eshleman of PA, Kay (Ron) Berens of Belle Plaine, Christina (Steve) Stateler of Haysville, Jamie (Robert) Ortiz of Chanute; stepsons, Bruce (Hye) Hamilton of FL and Jeff (Robin) Hamilton of Wellington; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Resthaven Mortuary with funeral service 3 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2013 at Valley Center Christian Church. Memorials have been established with Heartland Hospice 3210 W.
