James Patrick McQuery

84, passed away December 2, 2017. James was a United States Navy Veteran and retired after 35 years at Boeing. James was a kind and gentle man who always put others needs before his own. He was a hard worker, good provider, and had a giving heart. He served in church as a deacon for 50 years and taught Sunday School and Bible studies. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, and building free-flight gliders to fly in competitions. James was a loyal and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He is preceded in death by parents, Robert and Anne McQuery and Bill and Betty Pyles; son, James McQuery; and sister-in-law, Jackie McQuery. James is survived by wife of 61 years, Anita; son, John (Krista) McQuery; daughter-in-law, Angela McQuery; brother, Mike McQuery; grandchildren, Chris, Brian (Sarah), and Daniel McQuery, Lynne (KC) Graham, Tom, Paul, and Sarah McQuery; and great-grandchildren, Dylan, Seth, and Lillian McQuery. A visitation will be held Thursday, December 7, 2017, from 5-7 pm and funeral services will be held 10:00 am Friday, December 8, 2017, both at Resthaven Mortuary. Memorial donations may be made to Phoenix Hospice.
