Janet was a long time secretary at Wichita East High School serving as a secretary to the principal for over 20 years. She touched many lives as she connected with teachers, students and players of her son’s soccer teams. She was kind, selfless and always willing to help anyone. She had a positive attitude towards anything in life and was always willing to try new things. In Janet's free time, she enjoyed candle making, trips to Ojo Caliente, hanging out with her girlfriends, enjoying Guinness Beer, and talking with her son, Dylan.
She was preceded in death by, her parents and one brother, James Cumberland.
Survivors include: her son, Dylan Gruntzel (Cynia Sanchez-Gruntzel); two grandchildren, Izahn and Hailey Sanchez; one brother, Harry Cumberland (Carol Cumberland); one sister, Joy Stunkel (Ted Stunkel); and five nieces: Gina, Jill, Carey, Dana, and Tracy.
