Janet S. Halstead went to her eternal, heavenly home on Sunday, March 26, 2023. Janet was born in Delaware County, Oklahoma to the late Everett and Gladys (Robertson) Loghry. She was the oldest of four children: Phyllis (Larry) Mardock, Maurice (Janet) Loghry, and Donald Loghry.
She married her high school sweetheart, Duane Lee Halstead, in 1960, and together they had four children: Lisbeth Leiber, Derrin Halstead (deceased), Jeremy (Rhonda) Halstead and Shaun Halstead; they also have six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Janet worked most of her adult life in retail sales for various Wichita stores, sold Avon, and performed as Tickles the Clown. She was a member of the Pawnee Avenue Church of God, enjoyed baking cakes, sewing, knitting & crocheting, and ceramics.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Derrin, and her granddaughter, Amber Ward.
Viewing is Wednesday, March 29 at noon, with the funeral service to follow at 1:00pm. Both will be held at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
