Janet was a journalist for the Wichita Eagle and was a member of the Pen and Quill Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Juanita (Abell) Stavely.
She is survived by her sisters Kathleen Barton-Shelton and Judith Baylie and many nieces and nephews.
Rosary 7pm, Thursday, August 25, DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt and Funeral Mass 9:30am, Friday, August 26, St. Elizabeth Chapel at Catholic Care Center. She will be buried at St. Francis Cemetery in St. Paul, Kansas.
