Janis "Jan" Dunaway

Jan was born on March 10, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas, to Bill and Delpha (Achey) Boggs. She graduated from South High School and went on to complete x-ray technician training at St. Francis Hospital. She worked as an x-ray tech in both Kansas and California before transitioning to administrative work at Boggs Signs, her parent’s business. She later retired from the Stone Treatment Center at Wesley Medical Center.

A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Jan cherished time with her family. She loved to read, travel, and enjoyed watching classic films. Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Delpha; and her former husbands, Jim Dunaway and Donald Parks. She is survived by her daughter, Jenny Parks; her son, David Parks (Jennifer DeWitt); and grandson, Ollie Parks. Other surviving family members include brother Larry (Cindy) Boggs, and their children Brent Boggs and Keicha (Robin) Wagoner.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Hospice team at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center at St. Francis for their exceptional care during Jan’s illness.
