Javonnie L. Maak, 84, retired office manager, passed away on January 21, 2019. She was a member of AAUW, volunteered with Wichita Art Museum and Botanica, loved cats, gardening, flowers, traveling and spending time with her friends. Javonnie is preceded by husband, Charles Maak; parents, Leonard and Cora Lee Johnson and brother, Jw O. Johnson. She is survived by daughter, Christiane (Scott) Smith; granddaughter, Lauren A. Smith and former spouse, Charles C. Ladd. Memorial service is 10:00 am Friday, February 1, 2019 at Resthaven Mortuary. Memorials may be given to Kansas Humane Society or Botanica.
