

Jerry led a rich life full of faith, family and friends. As a child, Jerry was baptized at First Christian Church in Junction City, was active in Boy Scouts, and played baseball, football and basketball for Junction City High School. He attended Kansas State University and remained an avid K-State fan his entire life. While attending K-State, Jerry met and married Sharon Maltbie and together, they had four children. They divorced after 17 years. Jerry married and divorced Maureen Teft before meeting longtime girlfriend of 18 years, Catherine Weidenbach. Jerry worked as a sales representative for Johnson & Johnson and Proctor and Gamble before starting his own successful business in his late 40s. Jerry was a hardworking, generous, loving and funny man who was admired by many. He was preceded in death by his father, McCoy Heck.
He is survived by his mother, Jennie Mae Heck of Junction City; sons, Ryan (Brenda) of Blanding, Utah and Aaron (Cheyne) of Wichita; daughters, Amy Lawrence and Anna (Courtney) Lawrence of Wichita; brothers, Ronald (Dixie) Heck of California and Jim Heck of Oregon; sister, Jolene (Neil) Thomas of Arizona; grandchildren, Wheeler, William and Emma Heck, Cheyenne and Jordan Lawrence, Claire, Karley, Lyle and Lelan Heck, Andrew Heck and Alexis and Alyson Lawrence. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sept. 10 at Resthaven Mortuary. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Sept. 12 at Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 528 W. Fifth St. in Valley Center, Kansas
