Jerry L. Scott

Scott, Jerry Lee, 81, of Andover, Kansas passed away peacefully on the 13th of August, 2015 in Wichita. Jerry was born on the 8th of August, 1934 in Bushton, Kansas, the son of Asa and Hazel Scott. Jerry and Kathryn (Simons) Scott were united in marriage on Feb. 6, 1958 in Houston, TX. Together, they celebrated 58 years of marriage. Jerry served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Jerry retired from Beech Aircraft after 36 years of loyal service. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Asa Ray Scott, sister, Collen Astle, brothers, James and Charles Scott. Survivors include his loving wife, Kathryn Scott of Andover, children, Carrie (Womack) Scott, Shawna (Mark) Davoren, sister, Dorothy Casteel of Neodesha, KS, grandchildren, Billy Womack, Scott Womack and Samantha Davoren and many nieces and nephews. An informal graveside memorial service will take place 2pm on Sat. Aug. 15, 2015 at Lakeview Cemetery in the Garden of Meditation, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita, KS 67206. Brother Jerry Payne will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials have been established in his name and loving memory with the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market St., Wichita, Kansas 67202.
