Jessie was united in marriage to James Harold Wilson on June 14, 1946, and two children were born to their union, Steven L. Wilson and Stanley D. Wilson.
Jessie loved the lord and has longed for the day she would see him face to face. She was a sports enthusiast who supported her sons many teams, including Oklahoma football; and she was an avid bridge player into her early 90's. Jessie's gentle & feisty spirit will be missed by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, James H. Wilson; her parents, Willis & Myrtle Lawrence; her sisters, Ruth Bunnell, Thelma House, Freda Kumorowski, Willa Bea Reed, and Opal Lawrence.
Surviving to mourn her death are: her sons, Steven (Chris) and Stan (Paula) Wilson; her grandchildren, Chase (Ashley) Wilson, Braven Wilson, Kyle (Ashton) Wilson & Megan Wilson; her great-grandchildren, Brendon, Natalie, Asher, Milo, Parker and Cooper.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 am on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Tyler Road Southern Baptist Church, 571 South Tyler Road, Wichita, Kansas, with Pastor Bryan Jones officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, in the Garden of Gospels.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Tyler Road Southern Baptist Church, 571 South Tyler Road, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
