John A. Cline, 92, of Wichita, Kansas went to be with his Lord on September 3, 2026. John was born on August 9, 1934, in McPherson, Kansas to Alvin and Clara (McKinny) Cline.
He moved with his parents to Wichita when he was five years old. While in high school, John worked for Freel Diggs as a floor sander and finisher for his company.
John married the love of his life, Shirley M. Donaldson, on November 23, 1955. To this union, three daughters were born.
Soon after they married, John was called to the Army. It was during his time in the service that he decided to become an electrician. He was a member of I.B.E.W. Electrical Workers Local Union #271, before retiring in 1996.
John attended church along with his wife and family and found joy and peace in serving his Lord and Savior.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley of 67 years; his parents, Alvin and Clara Cline; two brothers, Richard and Michael Cline; three sisters, Eleanor Fletcher, Carol Zenner and Shirley Myers. He is survived by three daughters, Nancy (Douglas) Mueller of Wichita, Kansas, Deanna (Michael) Potterton of Haysville, Kansas, Deborah Cline of Wichita, Kansas; grandson, Kelly (Stephanie) Mueller of Wichita, Kansas; siblings, Mary (Thomas) Triplet of Grass Valley, California and David (Terrie) Cline of Murphy, North Carolina.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 6 pm – 8 pm with funeral service on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 10 am, both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W Hwy 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
