John C. Dickinson

was born September 24, 1930 in Mobile, Ala to Robert Lee Dickinson and Rubye Louise Campbell-Dickinson. Mr. Dickinson passed away Monday, Nov. 2, 2015 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Mr. Dickinson graduated from Clarke County High School, Grove Hill, Ala May 20, 1949 and later attended Marion Military Institute, Marion, Ala. Mr. Dickinson spent his life in retail sales, manager positions starting with Askins/Halls Clothing in Little Rock, Amarillo, Texas and Wichita, Kansas. After closing Halls he was in men's suits at J. C. Penney's, retiring in 1992. Survivors: wife, Janice Dickinson of Ft. Worth; children: John Dickinson, Jr. (Bobbi) Tequesta, FLA., Brad Dickinson (Marcella) Westfield, WI., Bobbi Tremper (Mark) Rantoul, Ill., Lynette Moody of Wichita, KS., Angela Howell (Dan) of Derby, KS, Debra Schones (Joe) Westminister, CO., Richard Dickinson of Wichita, KS., Stephanie Craine of Ft. Worth, TX. Sister, Barbara Blagg of Dothan, Ala., many beloved cousins in Ala, Fla and Ga.; 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; 2 nephews, 1 niece and 3 great nieces. Son Russell Dickinson preceded him in death. Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 1806 N. Oliver in Wichita, Kansas.
