John was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed watching football. He enjoyed tinkering in his shed on projects and loved spending time with his family.
John is survived by his siblings, Robert Grant Jr. and Kathy Rearick; his wife, Karen Grant; his daughter, Traci (Alan) Girrens with Brandon (Audrey) Girrens and their children, Beau and Adelaide; daughter, Tammy (Brian) Blanton with children, Morgan (Adrian) Blanco with Lucas and Rowan with Amber Hack, Gavin, Sebastian, Grayson, Serenity, Skyla, Hudson, and Connor Blanton; his daughter, Tina Grant; his daughter, Tanya House with son, Toby House, his daughter, Tiffany R. Arango with children, Adriana Avelar, (Zane Sanchez, Lillyana, Mila and Zane "Bubba" Sanchez) Ileyna Avelar, Isaac, Annabelle and Abigail Arango.
A visitation will be held on June 5, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Hwy 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
A Committal Service will take place immediately after the funeral service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in The Garden of Lord's Prayer.
