He graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, but also with over 10 years of varied experience in the aviation field that enhanced his career for years to come. He was always ready for that next project or to mentor others as they developed their own careers.

They were fully realized with the birth of his two children and later two grandchildren. But his support for the Wichita State University Shockers was not very far behind. He was always ready for a Shocker trip on short notice or trips many other places, be it road trip, business trip or his favorite ventures to Guernsey Island and being at Normandy Beach on D-Day anniversary.
John was an avid woodworker and auto mechanic. He could fix anything and was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors.
