John Kent Horsley, 76, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026.
John was born on April 16, 1950, in Wichita, Kansas, to Raymond and Doris (Stutsman) Horsley.
He graduated from East High School in Wichita and continued his education at Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and the Kansas College of Chinese Medicine in Wichita. Through his studies, John developed a lifelong commitment to helping others and pursuing meaningful work.
John began his career at Boeing, where he dedicated many years of service before following his passion for holistic healing as a practitioner of Chinese medicine. His work reflected both his curiosity and his desire to improve the lives of those around him.
He shared his life with his beloved wife, Linda Horsley. Together, they built a strong and loving family centered on care and devotion.
John found joy in life’s simple moments. He especially enjoyed fishing, watching college basketball—particularly the excitement of the Final Four and March Madness—and spending time enjoying movies.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his daughter, Katie Ellis (Horsley); his son, Greg Horsley; and his four cherished granddaughters.
John was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
