Dear John,
Your mother is waiting for you on the far banks of Jordan. She will be sitting drawing pictures in the sand and when she sees you coming, she will rise with a shout, and come running through the shallow waters reaching for your hand. Rest in heavenly peace John.
Love you,
Aunt Barbara

John plays in my memory like a kid. We were 13 and 14 in drum corps when we met, marching on the same side of the field with Melvin. His tall thin frame topped with long curly hair seemed at odds with the large baritone bugle that he carried We quickly figured out our summer birthdays were a day apart and since drum corps season lasted all summer, we were together for them. My birthday buddy, Summers will be different without him here, but I will see him in my mind and remember him for the rest of my days. Godspeed John, rest now sweet friend and please know I will celebrate you every year. Hugs in heaven.

I am so very sorry to learn of John's death. We grew up together and attended the same schools through high school. John will always hold a special place in my heart!

I met John through his Mother State Representative Bonnie Huy and his Father John Walter Huy.

We was a very intelligent guy and we had some good times together.

One night showed him that a Lincoln Mark VIII could do 100 MPH on East Douglass.
