John Robert Middleton

John Robert Middleton, age 83 passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 in Wichita, Kansas. John was born on February 20, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of the late Otho Dayle "O.D." and Dorothy A. (Gulliet) Middleton.

After graduating from South East high school, John joined the Kansas National Guard Army Reserves. He served from December of 1960 until his honorable discharge in October of 1967. John worked for USPS as an Automotive Supervisor for many years, until his retirement. He loved fishing, hunting, lake life and tinkering in his garage.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Christopher D. Middleton; his daughter, Jayma Orr; his first wife, Beverly J. Lewin; his late wife, Carole A. (Huston) Middleton

Survivors include his children: John E. Middleton, Christina Middleton and Jennifer J. Orr; grandchildren: April White, Daniel White, Larry Dennis Jr., Lauren Edwards, Mallory Kruckenberg, Ian Kruckenberg; 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 W Hwy 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209 in The Garden of Lord's Prayer.
