John Walsh, 90, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 in Wichita. John was born the son of Joseph and Kathleen Walsh on March 12, 1933 in County Kilkenny, Ireland. John and Eileen Walsh were united in marriage on May 28, 1960 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ottawa, Kansas. Together they celebrated 44 years of marriage before her passing in 2005. He worked as USDA Meat Inspector for 27 years. John served in the United States Army and Army Reserves for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister, Bunnie. He was survived by his sons, Joseph (Andree) Walsh, Stephen Walsh, grandchildren, Emma and Jack Walsh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am on Friday June 23, 2023 at All Saints Catholic Church, 3205 E. Grand St., Wichita, KS 67218. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Wichita, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Kansas Humane Society 3313 N. Hillside St., Wichita, KS 67219.
