Boone, Joy A., 93 longtime resident of Wichita, passed away on February 9, 2017 after a long illness. She was born February 24, 1923 in Wilson, OK, graduated in 1939 from Conroe, TX High School and worked for the Department of the Navy during WWII in Houston. Joy worked at Cessna starting in 1961 and retired from there in 1986. Her retirement was spent at her home in Wichita with her husband Keith and her cats. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, travel and visits to Keith’s farm in Dexter, KS. She was preceded in death by her husband William Croft of Corsicana, TX and husband Joe Stanberry of Wichita. She is survived by her loving husband, Keith Boone of Wichita, daughter Carolyn Wagner (Croft) and her husband Steve of Aurora, CO; grandson Jeff Wagner of Denver; two nephews in California and a great nephew from California. There will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to the Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219.
