Judith Ann Epperson, nee Howard, 75, born, November 21, 1942 and died October 6, 2018, Wichita, KS. Born to Clifton and OlaMay Howard in Arkansas City. She attended local schools and enjoyed a rich social life. She worked up until her death. First in data processing life insurance sales, owning her own pluming company and computer software sales. After discovering her passion for homeless outreach, she pursued a higher education and earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from Kansas University. She started her social work career at the Robert Dole V.A. in Wichita and became coordinator for the homeless population, organizing the yearly round-up for over a decade. Most recently she worked with the veterans in the hospice programs at various local hospitals. Judi’s life and work has touched countless friends, families, and clients. She will be sorely missed. However, as a woman of Christian faith, we know we will meet again. She has left to mourn her passing, her faithful husband, Michael Epperson; her mother OlaMay Howard; her siblings, Sharon Chisholm, Michael Howard (Jenny), and Michelle Daigh (John); her children, Denise Head (Dirk) and Lisa Barnhart (Jeff), from her 1st husband Dennis Head. She also leaves 6 grandchildren, 2 great grands with 1 on the way. Judith's memorial service will be held at Resthaven Mortuary on Friday, October 19, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her name to your local animal shelter, homeless organization or hospice.
