J.W. "Bud" Athey

J.W. "Bud" Athey, age 87, retired carpenter, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021. Bud was born on July 16, 1933, the son of Ralph and Velma (Haught) Athey, in Wichita, Kansas.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Ralph Jr. and Jack Fuller.

Survivors include: wife, Jean Athey; children, Sharon and husband, Dale Ziegler, Bill and wife, Melody Athey, Ray and wife, Teri Athey; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, January 28; funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 29, both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita.
