

Born on May 31, 2005 in Seoul, South Korea, Kai was the beloved son of Lori and Kevin Hays and brother to nine siblings. He lived in Andover, Kansas with his busy, loving family and graduated from Andover Central High School in May 2024.
He was known for his sharp sense of humor and his perseverance through challenges.
Kai loved spending time with family, going out to eat, and building creative LEGO models.
One of his favorite memories was a Make-A-Wish trip to Disney World with his family in 2015. He also shared a special bond with his devoted service dog, Sky.
Kai is survived by his parents, Lori and Kevin; siblings Jordan, Connor (Emily), Zoe (Paige), Mia, Ema, Adi (Tim), Leo, Victoria, and Asa; one niece, two nephews, eleven cousins, and many loving aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dr. Paul and Doris Uhlig, James and Mary Ann Hays, and his nephew, Miles Hull.
Kai's life was filled with courage, laughter, and love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E 13TH ST N, WICHITA, KS 67206, US, on September 5, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
