Katherine "Kate" J. Smith

She was united in marriage to Leo Smith September 17, 1949 in Denver, CO. They moved to Wichita in 1958. Katherine was a longtime, very active member of St. Anne Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Mary (Smircich) Stefanich; daughter, Theresa Louise Smith; son, Michael Smith; brothers, Philip and John Stefanich.

She is survived by her husband, Leo Smith of Wichita; children, Stephanie (David) Porto, Lawrence, KS, Bernard Smith, McKinney, TX, Margaret Kline, Wichita, Steve (Alison) Smith, Allen, TX; sisters, Marjorie Moranville, Denver, CO, Mary (Paul) Tilp, McMinnville, OR; grandchildren, Laura (Ben) Atkins, Chris Porto, Steve Kline, Jon (Traci) Kline, Matthew Smith, Wesley Smith; great grandson, Theodore Atkins.

Rosary 7pm, Friday, March 28, 2014 at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial 10am, Saturday, March 29, 2014, at St. Anne Catholic Church.

A memorial has been established with St. Anne Catholic School, 2801 S. Seneca, Wichita, KS 67217.
